Motivational Interviewing.
Clients explore their ambivalence towards change in order to move forward. The main goal is to increase motivation, desire to change, and commitment. The therapist provides empathy and support to help clients move through the emotional stages of change.
Person Centered.
The client is empowered to take the lead and decide on the destination. The therapist provides unconditional positive regard - where the therapist is authentically non-judgmental to empower clients to make their own decisions. Clients feel that their thoughts and feelings are understood by therapists use of empathy.
CBT.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is used to help clients examine how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Some cases of distress may be due to dysfunctional perceptions of reality including about the self and the world. Therapist help clients find patterns of dysfunctional thinking in order for the client to reprogram their thinking.
DBT.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is used to teach clients valuable self-management & mindfulness skills and promotes self-compassion. Concentration on skills enables the client the live a healthier life by transforming negative behaviors into positive ones.
